Evapanel is an insulated structural composite panel produced by Evapanel Composite systems. It is factory faced with Uginox terned stainless steel or Ugitop low reflective matt stainless steel. The internal skin is PVDF or architectural powder coated steel, interlocking at joints.

Application
Roofing and cladding where a traditional standing seam appearance is desired. The added flatness of the facing metal is particularly advantageous when used for vertical cladding.

Authority
Uginox certification is issed by the French equivelant of the BBA, the centre scientifique et Technique du Batiment. The certificates, called 'Avis Techniques', enable the product to be incorporated within defect insurance schemes.

The code of practice is DTU No 40-44 Metal Roofing in sheets and long strips using plated stainess steel.

Composition
Outer skin is stainless steel, either: Uginox, terned electroplated with mainly tin in 1.4401 grade (formely 316) or 1.4301 grade (formely 304) - to suit the site exposure. Uginox patinates safely and naturally to a lead like matt grey colour. Or: Ugitop, micro textured avilable in 1.4404 and 1.4301 grades. This micro textured stainless steel gives an unprecedented low lustre, dark reflective finish, without a patination process being necessary. Inner skin in PVDF or architectual powder coated steel in any conventional colour. The insulation core is PIR and PUR.

Dimensions
EvaPanel panels give standing seams at 500mm centres. Maximum length without cross joint is 8 metres using PIR insulation.

Bespoke elements for valleys, fascias etc. are available up to 1160mm girth for external skin.

Manufacture
Uginox and Ugitop stainless steels are manufactured by Ugine, part of the french based Usinor group. With a turnover of £1.6billon and a workforce of 12,000, Ugine is a world leader in stainless steel.

Economics
The EvaPanel system offers significant labour time savings compared to systems that consist of seperate linings, insulants and top sheets assembled on site. The supply and fix cost is broadly comparable to aliminium industrial type standing seam systems yet retaining the appearance of traditional sheet metal covering.
